In my spare time, I also work part-time as a research assistant. My work involves researching the performance of interpretable machine learning models in the field of computation social science.
Software Engineer Intern
May 2021 - August 2021
For the final internship of my degree, I returned to EA to work on another unannounced sports mobile title.
During this internship, I was able to continue improving my engineering skills by gaining exposure to different areas of the codebase. I ended up working on several different areas of game development including gameplay (Unity and C#), server (Java), and internal tooling (Angular and TypeScript).
Software Engineer Intern
May 2020 - August 2020
My first internship at EA took place on a sports mobile team to work on an unannounced mobile title.
The majority of my work consisted of working on the front-end engineering team. I got a chance to build out mockups and UI flows and integrate them into the game (Haxe). I also worked on fixing some gameplay bugs and helped built a debug only gamemode (C++).
Undergraduate Research Assistant
February 2020 - April 2020
While in university, I briefly did some work in in researching human-computer interactions. This involved using Python to implement object detection and speech recognition into a project.
Web Developer Intern/Part-time
January 2019 - December 2019
I was very fortunate to land my first internship experience at a local web development company during my second year of university. What started out as a 4 month internship was extended to 8 months, and when I went back to university in September, I continued working part-time.
My work mainly consisted of building and maintained custom web applications for multiple small, medium, and enterprise businesses (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
Although not technically work, volunteering still makes up part of my experiences.
President
May 2021 - December 2021
During my last couple semesters, I was elected President of my university's CS club. This involved various things like leading a team of 5 other executives, organizing online events, funding and purchasing merch, collaborating with other student associations on campus, etc.
